The Metal Elements (Geng) and (Xin) can be separated into ‘hard’ and ‘soft’ categories. 

Xin is the ‘softer,’ but not necessarily ‘gentler’ Metal Element Self. Most Xin individuals are known for their excellent communication skills and insatiable curiosity. 

These charming and talkative people always have something to say – they prefer to be both ‘seen’ and ‘heard’ at the same time! Especially if they are right. 

Xin is a polished metal and Xin people want to get noticed.

The external world is where they shine and thrive, where they are always in reach of knowledge and updated on current events – often by using their wit and humor to get the information they need. Due to these qualities, Xin people can quickly adapt to situations to suit their personal interests.
